2. What is Pilates, and how can it benefit me?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body awareness. It can benefit anyone looking to improve their posture, build strength, increase flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury. Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels and can be particularly beneficial for those recovering from injury or dealing with chronic pain.
3. What is Yoga on the Wall, and who is it for?
Yoga on the Wall is a unique form of yoga that uses a wall as a prop to support various poses and stretches. This method allows for deeper stretches and enhanced alignment, making it ideal for individuals who are new to yoga, have mobility issues, or are looking to deepen their practice. It can help improve flexibility, strength, and balance while providing a safe environment for practice.
4. What conditions can be treated with Physical Therapy at NovaVida?
Our physical therapy services are designed to address a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to, musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, arthritis, and mobility issues. Our skilled therapists will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, helping you recover faster and regain strength and mobility.
5. What is Winback Therapy, and how does it work?
Winback Therapy is a cutting-edge treatment that uses high-frequency energy to accelerate the healing process and reduce pain and inflammation. The therapy works by stimulating tissue repair, improving blood flow, and reducing muscle tension, making it an effective option for those with chronic pain, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues.
6. What is Myofascial Release, and what are its benefits?
Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure to the myofascial connective tissue. This technique helps to release restrictions, reduce pain, and restore motion. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, headaches, and other conditions where the fascia may be contributing to discomfort and limited mobility.
7. How do I know which service is right for me?
Choosing the right service depends on your individual needs, goals, and any existing conditions or injuries. We recommend scheduling an initial consultation with one of our experienced practitioners. During this session, we will assess your health status, discuss your goals, and recommend the most appropriate treatments or therapies for you.
8. Do I need a referral from a doctor to start Physical Therapy?
In most cases, you do not need a referral from a doctor to start physical therapy at NovaVida. However, some insurance providers may require a referral for coverage. We recommend checking with your insurance company or contacting us directly for more information about your specific situation.
9. How can I schedule an appointment?
You can book online through our website, call us or visit our facility in person.
10. What should I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit, you will meet with one of our experienced practitioners for an initial assessment and treatment. We will discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Depending on the service, you may also undergo a physical evaluation to assess your movement, flexibility, and strength. This information will help us create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
11. What should I wear to my appointment?
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. For Pilates and Yoga on the Wall, athletic wear such as leggings or shorts and a fitted top are ideal. For physical therapy and myofascial release sessions, clothing that allows access to the treatment area (like shorts or a tank top) is recommended.
12. Do you accept insurance?
Physical Therapy at NovaVida is considered out of network for all insurance companies. While insurance is not processed directly, we can provide all the necessary documentation upon request for you to submit to your insurance. We do not accept Medicare and cannot provide paperwork to submit to Medicare.
13. What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and plans may change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee.
